Katy Perry & John Mayer: It’s Over!

Katy Perry & John Mayer: It’s Over!

They’ve always had a tumultuous relationship and now it seems Katy Perry and John Mayer have called it quits on their romance once again.
While details are still scarce, an inside source told E! News that the “Roar” songstress kicked her “No Such Thing” beau to the curb over the course of the past week.
To that end, John didn’t accompany Katy to London and Milan earlier this month despite earlier rumors of a secret engagement.
Perry guest sang on Mayer’s single “Who You Love,” and the two really seemed to have moved past their on/off tendencies.
In a previous interview, Katy gushed, “I’ve been a fan of John’s for years before I got to actually kiss him. I’ve been such a fan, I think he’s so incredibly talented and gifted and a genius songwriter. So to be a part of anything he was doing was just natural.”

Carly Rae Jepsen Honored on the “Ride of Fame”

Checking out her very own mobile monument, Carly Rae Jepsen was honored by the “Ride of Fame” on Tuesday (February 25).
The “Call Me Maybe” star wore a beige sweater, plaid skirt, and a red jacket as she posed on her double decker bus.
Nowadays, the 27-year-old singer is hard at work on Broadway in the new adaptation of “Cinderella” and she’ll have plenty of chances to see her Big Apple tribute while in town.
Overjoyed at the opportunity, last week Carly tweeted, “Last night I felt close to tears happy! Thanks to @CinderellaBway for letting me live out this romantic fantasy!”

Kaley Cuoco & Ryan Sweeting Drop By “The Late Show”

Taking care of some media duties, Kaley Cuoco and her husband Ryan Sweeting headed over to the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City last night (February 24).
The “Big Bang Theory” babe and her handsome mister were in the house for Kaley’s appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and they seemed to be having a blast during their stay in the Big Apple.
Meanwhile, Ryan took to his Instagram account to post a photo of his bloated belly following a massive Manhattan steak dinner. He captioned, Man dinner was goooood!!! Dessert time now!!#steakmakemehappy.”
In the following shot, Sweeting’s gut was back to its normal six-pack abs form and he captioned the pic, “Everybody poops,” indicating he’d just had a sit-down!

Michelle Obama & Will Ferrell Join Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”

Michelle Obama & Will Ferrell Join Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”

She’s always been a fan of hobnobbing with celebrities and last night (February 20) First Lady Michelle Obama paid a visit to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Accompanied by “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues” star Will Ferrell, the FLOTUS joined in on Fallon’s teen girl spoof sketch “Ew!” and earned her stripes as a comedienne.
Jimmy began, “I’m Sarah, and if you’re wondering, that’s ‘S-A-R-A,’ with no ‘H,’ because ‘Hs’ are Ew!” before Ferrell came out in pigtails.
Later, Fallon (as Sara) asked Michelle, “Have you been watching the Olympics?” Will added, “What’s your favorite event?” to which Obama replied, “One of my favorites is figure skating.”
And once all the teenage antics were through, Jimmy had an actual conversation with Mrs. Obama in which she admitted her own girls are a bit challenging in their teen years.
“My kids … they want nothing to do with us. They really want normalcy and the White House isn’t normal. Malia is going to turn 16 this summer so we’re kind of dealing with that. We’re going to have to figure that (driving) out, so ladies and gentlemen of (Washington) D.C., watch out.”

Sofia Vergara and Her Chanel Bag Have Us Craving Summer

Sofia Vergara and Her Chanel Bag Have Us Craving Summer

Sofia Vergara and Her Chanel Bag Have Us Craving Summer
Sofia Vergara was recently spotted carrying a white Chanel Flap Bag in Sydney, Australia. Several other Modern Family cast members have been intercepted by Aussie paps around Sydney recently, so I suppose we can all expect the “Modern Family: Down Under” special one hour episode to air in the not-so-distant future. To view the rest of Sofia’s especially luxe handbag stash, check out “The Many Bags of Sofia Vergara”.
Sofia has a lot in common with her character Gloria on Modern Family, especially when it comes to fashion. They both hail from Colombia, they both love tight, figure-flattering dresses, giant sunnies, designer handbags, and ridiculously high heels. I know for a fact I’ve seen Gloria handling several Chanel bags over the last few seasons. In other news: what I wouldn’t give to be able to step out in a maxi dress today without freezing to death.

Miley Cyrus Channels Monica Lewinski on Stage in Vancouver:

By now it’s pretty clear that she loves pushing boundaries and on Friday (February 14) in Vancouver, Canada, Miley Cyrus launched her Bangerz tour doing just that.
While singing “Party in the USA” from a previous album, the 21-year-old songstress was joined by American symbols including Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty, dancers dressed like Uncle Sam, and a man in a Bill Clinton mask.
Amongst all the twerking, the “Wrecking Ball” singer channeled Monica Lewinski and sung into her microphone dangerously close to Bill’s crotch. Check out the video below for the risqué move.
On Sunday, an amped up Miley tweeted, “Up & at em! 2nd show #bangerztour Vancouver was turnt up! Tacoma I hope you’re ready for this.”

Costumes about tax not style … Pop music band Abba says the reason they wore such outrageous outfits on stage was to ensure costumes were a tax write off.
Source: News Limited

ABBA has revealed that the flares, jumpsuits and platform heels that they donned in their heyday were not to stand out but worn as a tax write-off.
In a new book, Björn Ulvaeus says that the band’s style came about in part because of Swedish tax laws that allowed the cost of costumes to be tax deductible but only if they were so outrageous that they couldn’t be worn on the street.
“In my honest opinion we looked like nuts in those years. Nobody can have been as badly dressed on stage as we were,” he writes.
The revelation comes in a new book, Abba: The Official Photo Book, published to mark 40 years since they won Eurovision with Waterloo.
In 2007 Ulvaeus was accused of failing to pay 85m kronor ($ 16m) in Swedish taxes between 1999 and 2005, but successfully appealed against the decision.
“I am of course very happy that I have been informed in writing that I have always done the right thing concerning my taxes,” he said after the court victory.

SPECULATION is rife that superstars Kanye West, Lady Gaga, Robbie Williams, Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake are set to announce Australian tours after a ticket agency teaser campaign.

Ticket agency Ticketek put a teaser campaign about “five mega announcements” — with silhouettes of the performing giants — on its Facebook page late yesterday.
Ticketek’s Facebook post said: “Countdown to the hottest performers — 5 mega announcements in 30 days.”

However, clever punters wasted no time tracking down shots to fill silhouettes used in Ticketek’s campaign, with the mystery apparently solved.
Ticketek removed the teaser campaign overnight.
Robbie Williams will perform an exclusive show for the Today Show in Sydney on February 20. “I’m itching to get to Australia,” he said. “I want to feel the love.” Williams, promoting a swing album, is expected to use his visit to make a tour announcement
Justin Timberlake has been plotting a visit for a while. His website has promised Down Under dates since last May.

Last year, Timberlake did a dual-headlining run through the US with rap mogul, Jay Z.
Kanye West toured Australia two years ago with the Big Day Out. He has also visited as support act for U2.
Lady Gaga’s tour, called ArtRave, travels through the US from May to July, and goes to Europe in September.
When Gaga played two ArtRave shows last year, it featured a “flying dress” called the Volantis.
Katy Perry’s world tour, Prismatic, will get to Australia at the end of the year. Perry is a regular visitor to these shores.
Twerk queen Miley Cyrus is also expected to announce a visit later this year.
Live Nation is believed to be promoting the “five mega” tours.

‘Idol’ on the way?  Lauren Silverman checks into hospital as Simon Cowell rushes to her side.

Grinning and wearing sunglasses  and a dark coat  Simon Cowell arrived at Lenox Hill Hospital to evaded questions from the press. When question about Lauren... Simon said: “We’ll find out,” when asked to confirm that Lauren Silverman was about to give birth.

I guess that it will be a Valentine’s Day to remember for Simon and and his socialite girlfriend Lauren Silverman, who may be welcoming their baby boy in the same suite where Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter. Simon rushed to get on his plane to be by Lauren's side.
Lauren is staying in the same  exclusive maternity ward where Beyonce Knowles gave birth two years ago to Blue Ivy Carter.

The NFL this morning released its report on the investigation of the Dolphins’ locker-room.

The NFL this morning released its report on the investigation of the Dolphins’ locker-room.

“As all must surely recognize, the NFL is not an ordinary workplace. Professional football is a rough, contact sport played by men of exceptional size, speed, strength and athleticism.
“But even the largest, strongest and fleetest person may be driven to despair by bullying, taunting and constant insults.
“We encourage the creation of new workplace conduct rules and guidelines that will help ensure that players respect each other as professionals and people.”
The NFL this morning released its report on the investigation of the Dolphins’ locker-room.
"After a thorough examination of the facts, we conclude that three starters on the Dolphins offensive line, Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, engaged in a pattern of harassment directed at not only Martin, but also another young Dolphins offensive lineman ... and a member of the training staff."
The 140-page report, by independent investigator Ted Well, looked into claims by Jonathan Martin that he was bullied by fellow offensive lineman Richie Incognito and others on the team.
Ted Wells wrote that on two occasions in 2013, Martin considered suicide.  Ted Wells said that Martin allowed the release of this information.
The report also reveals inappropriate treatment toward another young offensive lineman as well as an assistant trainer.
"We find that the Assistant Trainer repeatedly was targeted with racial slurs and other racially derogatory language. Player A frequently was subjected to homophobic name-calling and improper physical touching."
"Martin was taunted on a persistent basis with sexually explicit remarks about his sister and his mother and at times ridiculed with racial insults and other offensive comments."
The report concludes that the NFL needs new guidelines to prevent bullying and harassment of players.

Bethenny Carries Her Daughter and a Christian Louboutin Bag

Bethenny Carries Her Daughter and a Christian Louboutin Bag

Bethenny Carries Her Daughter and a Christian Louboutin Bag
Former Real Housewives of New York star/Skinnygirl entrepreneur/daytime talk show host Bethenny Frankel was recently spotted picking her daughter up from school in Lower Manhattan with a black leather Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Bag in tow. Bethenny’s quite fond of Christian Louboutin’s handbags (and his shoes too, of course), and we’ve actually seen her carrying this exact bag around town before. You can currently buy Bethenny’s bag at Net-A-Porter for $ 1,795, and check out the rest of her high-end handbag collection in “The Many Bags of Bethenny Frankel”.
I’m glad to see Bethenny wearing a sturdy pair of sensible, winter-appropriate boots here, and not tempting fate by traversing on icy cobblestones in a somewhat lethal pair of Saint Laurent stilettos, as we’ve seen her do in the past. Don’t get me wrong: I love fashion, I love Saint Laurent, and I love stilettos. But I also love sanity. (And there is nothing I hate more than wiping out in public.)

Michael Sam "I am a proud gay man"

Michael Sam, an All-American defensive lineman from the University of Missouri, publicly revealed that he's gay on Sunday, creating the possibility he'll be the first openly gay player drafted by the National Football League.

"I understand how big this is," he tells ESPN "It's a big deal. No one has done this before. And it's kind of a nervous process, but I know what I want to be. ... I want to be a football player in the NFL."
Michael Sam, 24, had already told close friends and last August came out to his teammates during a preseason training camp when the coaches asked players to tell "a little about ourselves."

"I just want to make sure I could tell my story the way I want to tell it," he tells the Times. "I just want to own my truth."
The Texas-raised, 6' 2", 260-lb. senior leaves Missouri as one the nation's top college players. He was defensive player of the year in the Southeastern Conference and his teammates voted him most valuable player. He is predicted to be drafted into the NFL in the third round this May.
