The White House, meanwhile, was asked to weigh in on Justin Bieber’s bad behavior

Justin Bieber (AFP)

Troubled star Justin Bieber was charged with assaulting a limousine driver, Canadian police said, after the 19-year-old turned himself in with a crowd of female fans screaming their support.
The charges are the latest run-in with the law for Justin after his arrest in Miami Beach on January 23 for drag racing and impaired driving, and after his Los Angeles mansion was searched because he allegedly egging at a neighbor’s house.
JustinBieber will appear in court on March 10, Toronto police said in a statement, just over two hours after he sparked scenes of chaos as he arrived to turn himself in a black all-terrain vehicle. Social media lit up as word spread that Justin Bieber had surrendered and adolescent fans, most of them female, went to the police station.
“On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, Justin Bieber, 19, of Calabasas, California, surrendered to police at 52 Division,” the Toronto police statement said, adding the troubled star will go before court at Toronto’s Old City Hall.
Justin Bieber is charged with hitting a limousine driver “several times” over the back of the head. The car had picked him and five others up from a nightclub in the city in the early hours of December 30.
Earlier, before going to the club, Bieber had been to a hockey game.
“While driving the group to a hotel, an altercation occurred between one of the passengers and the driver of the limousine,” the statement said.
“In the course of the altercation, a man struck the limousine driver on the back of the head several times.
“The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police.
“The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived.”
Earlier, wearing a baseball cap turned backwards and a black hooded winter coat, the singer entered the station in Toronto, escorted by officers who rushed him through a large crowd of screaming fans and journalists.
“Move back, don’t push! Don’t push!” a police officer screamed as girls screamed at the sight of Bieber’s large black limousine. CTV television said  Justin  pulled up around 7:30 pm Thursday.
Fans rushed in holding up smartphones hoping to get a picture of the clean-cut, baby-faced young star turned tattooed, barely adult bad boy.
A girl screamed “I love you, Justin, I love you!” as dozens of cameras flashed to light up the night.

Justin Bieber  has also gotten in trouble with the authorities in Australia and Brazil for spraying graffiti. In Brazil, Justin Bieber was photographed emerging under a blanket from a notorious Rio brothel and later tried in vain to bring prostitutes into the posh Copacabana Palace.
Justin Bieber said he was not guilty of the charges filed against him in Florida last week — including drunk driving, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license.
In a filing by Justin's  attorney Roy Black to a Miami court, said that Justin Bieber formally rejected the charges.
The White House, meanwhile, was asked to weigh in on Justin Bieber’s bad behavior after it received a petition with more than 100,000 signatures calling for the Canadian-born signer to be deported.
By 9:00 pm Wednesday, a petition on the White House website calling for the deportation of the Canadian teen idol had garnered more than 155,300 names — easily surpassing the threshold of 100,000 signatures required for presidential consideration.
“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” says the petition, created by one “J.A.” in Detroit the day Bieber was busted in Miami Beach.
“We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive and drug-abusing Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation’s youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”
Bieber is understood to be living and working in the United States under a renewable O-1 visa for entertainers, rather than a green card for permanent resident status.
It remains unclear whether Justin Bieber’s visa to stay in the United States would be affected by his legal issues.

ANYTIME Neil Finn plays in Australia, there is a cast iron guarantee it is going to be special.
Bringing his good mate Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder on for the encore of his Max Sessions taping on Wednesday night, was very, very special.
An intimate crowd of diehard Finn fans howled when he brought Vedder, who watched several songs from the crowd with his wife Jill and friends, onto the stage at the Seymour Centre in Sydney.

They set up the next song with Vedder revealing he skipped graduate school for a musical education and Split Enz records were among those which would ultimately influence his own career.
Finn’s band, which includes his wife Sharon on bass, then returned to the stage to rip into History Never Repeats.

Nicole Richie Talks Reality TV & Paris Hilton in Marie Claire Mexico February 2014

She had a major fallout with her best friend Paris Hilton after their reality series “The Simple Life” ended, but now Nicole Richie reveals the strong bond between her and the hotel heiress still lives on.
In the February 2014 issue of Marie Claire Mexico magazine, the 32-year-old fashion designer discussed her friendship with Paris and shared details about her life since the cameras turned off.
Highlights from Miss Richie’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Marie Claire Mexico!
On Paris:

“Paris has been part of my life since I was two years old. There’s a strong friendship between our families and we’ll always know each other.”
On her lack of privacy while filming:

“We were filmed 24/7: in the bedroom, in the car, in the living room. That was the most interesting part about ‘The Simple Life,’ because it was intended to show what we were experiencing in the most truthful way. This changed later on, but at the beginning it was reality at its finest.”
On her love for traveling:

“I had always traveled a lot around [the U.S.] and abroad, but I had never experienced America quite like when we were doing the show. Before that, my whole world was between Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Alabama, and Atlanta, where my parents come from, but being in the central states was something completely new to us. Traveling is essential because if helps you grow. Learning about different cultures and beliefs is a wonderful process.”
On her life as a mom:

“Motherhood makes you way more conscious of how you distribute your spare time. Kids are so precious that your priorities change completely. I think [being a working mother and juggling schedules is] a global struggle and we, all women, are constantly trying to find a solution. I’m like any other working mother trying to make things work and dealing with this situation one day at a time. I have an amazing family and they’ve been very supportive, my parents live only 10 minutes and my husband [ Joel Madden] and his twin brother help me when I need it.”

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Justin Bieber has been arrested for allegedly drag racing on Miami Beach and DUI, according to police.

Miami Beach Police said Justin was arrested Thursday just after 4 a.m. on Pine Tree Drive and 26th Street.  Sgt. Bobby Hernandez
Spokesman said they received a call of two people drag racing.

Police responded to the scene and found Bieber in the driver's seat of a yellow Lamborghini. "The officer observed the signs of someone who was under the influence of drugs or alcohol," said Hernandez.

Justin failed the field sobriety test and was taken to the Miami Beach Police station, where he was given a breathalyzer.

According to investigators, two cars were used to block off the road. "They used two sport utilities to block of the road at 26th Street and Pine Tree, to make like a makeshift race track," said MBPD

Spokesman Bobby Hernandez.

The yellow
Lamborghini and red Ferrari that were used in the alleged drag race were removed from the scene and taken to Beach Towing.

According to Miami Beach Police
R&B artist Khalil Amir Sharieff was also arrested.
Khalil was driving the Ferrari and is also facing charges of DUI, police said.
Justin faces charges of DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving with an expired Georgia license.

A MUCH-HYPED US rapper has tweeted fans the royalties from sales of her debut album – the grand total of 1 US cent.

24-year-old rapper Kreayshawn, aka Natassia Zolot, this week shared a screenshot of her bank account with fans, showing a payment of $ 0.001USD and the caption “This is my cut I got on my album sales.”

Albums flop all the time, but this wasn’t an independently financed, self-released record sold out of the back of Kreayshawn’s car boot. Released in September 2012 via Columbia Records, Somethin’ About Kreay arrived off the back of the rapper’s viral hit Gucci Gucci, which has been viewed more than 45 million times on YouTube.
Despite this, the album debuted at number 112 on the US charts, selling a paltry 3,900 copies in its first week of release.
Subtract promotional costs, producer fees, music video budgets, and how much do you get? One cent, apparently.
Kreayshawn’s not the first musician to experience the humiliation of a massively underperforming album. Here are some of the biggest flops in music history:

Spice Girls – Forever

After the world-conquering success of their first two albums, the Spice Girls seemed to unravel just as quickly as they’d burst to fame. While the pop classics Spice and Spiceworld sold a combined 45 million copies worldwide, their limp, R&B-leaning third album Forever received dismal reviews and shifted little over a million copies worldwide (in the US, one of their biggest markets, it barely scraped the top 40).

Kevin Federline – Playing with Fire

Britney Spears’ latest album has been met with a muted response, but she can at least console herself with the fact she’s done better than K-Fed. Released when he was married to the pop star, K-Fed’s first (and only) album arrived in 2006 with some of the worst reviews in music history, and debuted at number 151 in the US. To date, it’s sold roughly 16,000 copies, which is surely around 16,000 more than it should have.
Guns N Roses – Chinese Democracy

The rock band’s first album in 15 years, Chinese Democracy arrived in 2008 after a string of delays and constant retooling from frontman Axl Rose. It’s the most expensive album ever made, with production costs totalling $ 13 million US. And the reception? US sales of around 600,000 – respectable, but nowhere near enough to recoup the millions spent.

Duffy – Endlessly

Dufy’s 2008 debut Rockferry was a perfectly-crafted slice of retro pop, propelled to worldwide sales of almost 10 million thanks to the massive success of single Mercy. For the follow-up, Duffy parted ways with producer Bernard Butler and recorded a new batch of songs on the quick. To date, it’s sold around a tenth the copies of its predecessor.

Garth Brooks – Garth Brooks in the Life of Chris Gaines

Garth Brooks was one of America’s most bankable country stars during the 1990s, so he must’ve given his record company a heart attack in 1999 when he told them he wanted to lose the cowboy hat, don guyliner and release an album using the fictitious persona of alternative rocker ‘Chris Gaines’. Notoriously conservative country fans were not amused, the album sold a fraction as much as its predecessors and all but ended his career.

Leanne Mitchell – self-titled

While The Voice is hugely popular here in Australia and a guarantee of chart success for its winners – at least in the short term – it’s a very different story in the UK. Leanne Mitchell won the 2012 UK season, but her triumphant winners’ single, the Whitney Houston cover Run To You, could only manage number 45 on the charts. It was worse news when Mitchell released her debut album, which missed the top 100 completely.

Anna Gunn’s Edie Parker Clutch Wins the Awards Season Handbag Competition
We still have the Grammys and Academy Awards to go, but we’re prepared to declare an early winner: at Saturday night’s Screen ActorsGuild Awards, Breaking Bad star Anna Gunna stole our handbag-loving heart for the entire awards season with her personalized Edie Parker Breaking Bad Personalized Box Clutch.
Gunn, who was nominated for a SAG for her role in the show, scored the one-of-a-kind evening bag because her mutual fandom with Edie Parker founder Brett Heyman, according to an interview Heyman gave to The Hollywood Reporter. She loves Breaking Bad and Gunn has been supportive of Edie Parker, including carrying one of the brand’s clutches to the recent Golden Globes, so Heyman made the bag, inlaid with the show’s logo, to commemorate Gunn’s SAG nomination at the conclusion of the series’ run.
In the past, Edie Parker has created clutches personalized with a name or monogram for celebrity fans and customers alike, but this is the first 100% custom piece that the brand has done for a major red carpet. Edie Parker’s inlaid acrylic construction gives the brand huge flexibility for customization, so let’s hope that this is just the first of many customized red carpet delights to come. It sure beats carrying whatever little inoffensive silk clutch your stylist has laying around.

KYLIE Minogue’s much-hyped comeback single Into the Blue leaked this morning ahead of its January 28 release – but many fans are pointing out the song sounds rather similar to a recent single by fellow Australian pop princess, Delta Goodrem.

The single is the first taste of Minogue’s upcoming 12th studio album, her first since 2010s Aphrodite. While the uplifting dance track is sure to be a hit among Kylie’s loyal fanbase, there’s no denying the similarities to Delta Goodrem’s 2012 single Sitting on Top of the World The song’s post-chorus hooks he song’s post-chorus hooks – Kylie’s ‘Into the bluuuue’ and Delta’s ‘Now I’m with youuuu’ (first heard 53 seconds into her song) – sound very similar.
Delta’s single enjoyed huge success off the back of her judging role on the first season of The Voice in 2012 – a position Kylie has now taken over, with Delta moving to the children’s version of The Voice in 2014.
Do you think the songs sound similar? Take a listen to both below and judge for yourself.
Minogue’s as-yet-untitled album is set to be released later in the year, with collaborators including Pharrell Williams, Sia, Darkchild and rising rapper Brooke Candy.

Juan Pablo Galavis  is actually a deadbeat dad.

The Florida Department of Revenue’s Child Support Enforcement Program slapped Juan Pablo with an income deduction order, requiring employers to automatically deduct $243.94 per month for child support, plus $49.00 per month for retroactive child support until the outstanding balance of $3,574.57 was paid.
“Juan Pablo has been hoping that news of his court-ordered child support didn’t get out because he doesn’t want ‘Bachelor’ fans finding out he’s not the perfect father he portrays himself to be,” a source revealed.

According to his official Bachelor bio, Juan Pablo, 32, resigned from his professional soccer career with Miami FC in 2008 after receiving the life-changing news that his then-girlfriend, Latina actress Carla Rodriguez, was pregnant.

Hearts are aflutter for hunky The Bachelor star Juan Pablo Galavis as he begins to hand out roses to hopeful wives-to-be, but documents obtained by The National Enquirer expose that the single father who touts his strong relationship with his daughter is actually a deadbeat dad.

Drake opened his “SNL” monologue by talking about being both black and Jewish.

For the first Saturday Night Live of 2014, Drake served as both the host and musical guest. In the show's cold open, he took on the role of Alex Rodriguez as he appeared on Piers Morgan and blamed everything from his cell phone to the dictionary for his steroid usage. He went on to reenact his Bar Mitzvah in the opening monologue. "I dated Rihannuk-uh".
He recalled his bar mitzvah, and then had a flashback to the special occasion. His relatives were, not surprisingly, stereotypes of Jews and blacks.
There was even a cameo by his black aunt, played by Sasheer Zamata in her “SNL” debut, saying “Mazel tov!”
Sasheer Zamata is the first black female star on "SNL" since Maya Rudolph left several years ago.
Later, Drake rapped about being black and Jewish, and celebrating Hanukkah.

Playboy playmate Cassandra Lynn Hensley has passed away at the age of 34.

Playboy playmate Cassandra Lynn Hensley has passed away at the age of 34.
Hensley was found dead in a friend's bathtub in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
No official cause of death has been given, but police are reportedly investigating the death as a possible drug overdose, according to TMZ.com. Foul play is not suspected.

Law enforcement officials who are investigating her death believe she might have suffered an overdose. TMZ  revealed that the friend called for help after she found  Cassandra floating in a bathtub. Paramedics were unable to revive her. Investigators said foul play is not suspected. Cassandra was born and raised in Salt Lake Valley, Utah.  Cassandra appeared in Playboy as Miss February in 2006.  Cassandra was modeling while she studied to be an aesthetician.
"I'm happy to be a Playmate," she said "It's a dream come true.” She got her chance to make her dreams come true after she placed in the Top 20 in a Hawaiian Tropic contest.

Life after Playboy consisted of appearing on television shows and giving advice to young models. "I have been a part of many great experiences," Cassandra said after her Playboy stint. "Travel shows, magazine covers and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model."
The model was pretty active on the social media especially with Twitter.  The last Tweet, which was posted after her death, had an eerie message.
"Unspoken obligations prevent you from doing what you wish today,” the message said. “No matter what you do now, you might not feel completely fulfilled. Working harder isn't the answer, but neither is escape."

Scarlett Johansson in Parade: Siri Doesn’t Like “Her”

Scarlett Johansson in Parade: Siri Doesn’t Like “Her”

As Scarlett Johansosson's latest flick “Her” continues to gain Oscar-buzz, the blonde bombshell reveals there is one “person” that’s not a big fan.
During her interview with Parade magazine, the 29-year-old actress chats Siri’s distaste of Scarlett’s voice in the film and shares details about her upcoming wedding plans.
Highlights from Miss Johansson’s interview are as follows. For more, be sure to pay a visit to Parade!
On “Her”:

“It’s great when people like the work that you do. The experience making this film was such a different challenge for me because I came in during the post-production process. The work that I did with Spike and Joaquin was such an intimate, heightened kind of experience. It was just a totally different way of working. I wasn’t a part of the months of prep and all that stuff, so I didn’t know what the film really looked like. When I saw it all put together, the fact that it was cohesive and quite poignant, I felt really moved by it, that the relationship works, and that people respond to it—that was a gift more than any rewards or praise. The fact that the audience is responding to the relationship, that they get it, that’s cool. It’s heart-lifting, it’s heart wrenching, it’s a real study of a full relationship that is life-changing and grows. I think everybody can kind of watch it and think, ‘oh, I’ve had that conversation, that’s the worst feeling’ or ‘that’s so embarrassing’ or ‘I loved that moment.’ But then when it’s with a computer, it’s a whole other added thing.”
On lending her voice for the film:

“More than anything, the difficult part was that I never thought about her being this operating system. And of course she feels different, she has a different sensibility, things have a different type of meaning to her. The depth of her relationship, how you can love somebody, or how that can exist is different for her. She says that to Theodore, she says to him, ‘I can love you this way and you might not be able to love me this way because we’re different.’ So it was hard to wrap your head around what that meant because it kind of transcends what you know. It has an otherworldly sentiment. The way that she thinks and how she evolves kind of transcends time and space and expands. And that was kind of hard to imagine, but of course the core of Samantha is her enthusiasm at that expansion and that enthusiasm for everything. She’s excited about herself, her ability, and that she’s separate. She’s her own being. Once she realizes these feelings are separate from feelings that are programmed, that she can have her own feelings, she discovers that independence, she’s unstoppable. So that’s what I mostly focused on. The ‘how can she see him? She doesn’t have eyes?’ That kind of stuff. People can go in a tailspin about that.”
On Siri’s jealousy towards Samantha:

“The other day Marcel [Pariseau, her rep] emailed me something ‘Siri doesn’t like Samantha’ or ‘Siri doesn’t like the movie’ or something, which is funny. I was like, ‘who programs it to be so topical?’ I thought about that. Did someone have to write that, how does that work? I don’t know. Do they have to come up with a strategy for how to answer that? Who’s the personality? I know the voice of the woman came out recently, but who’s the decision maker as to what kind of sass or whatever that Siri’s going to give you? I usually ask her things like, ‘do I look ok in this?’ She always responds, ‘you’re the fairest of them all,’ and I’m like, ‘I love you, Siri!’”
On SodaStream:

“Well it is a Super Bowl commercial, so it’s flashy and the product is fun. Of course it’s bubbly, so they wanted to kind of get that across. I’ve never done a Super Bowl commercial before and it’s a huge production. I think the idea is that it’s supposed to feel like a big, eye-catching moment. You want to make sure that people understand the environmental benefits, health benefits, lifestyle benefits in a 30 second spot. It’s a lot of information, plus the eye-catching part to capture.”
On her wedding:

“I’m busy planning ‘Avengers 2′ right now! That’s my main focus. I’ve never been a big planning kind of person. I’d never share it with anybody, but I think more than anything I feel really fortunate to have had this amazing year professionally. And I think when all that smoke settles I’ll be able to … I don’t feel like I need to rush that part of my life. I can let that happen organically. Right now it feels like a time to enjoy and be relaxed and that’s what works for us.”

Band sues FBI for dissing fans

THE Insane Clown Posse sued the US Justice Department over a FBI report that describes the rap-metal duo’s fans, the Juggalos, as a dangerous gang.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit in Detroit federal court on behalf of the group’s two members, Joseph Bruce, or Violent J, and Joseph Utsler, or Shaggy 2 Dope. It also names four fans as plaintiffs.
The FBI report on criminal gangs labeled the Juggalos as a "loosely organised hybrid gang.” It said those who identify as Juggalos have committed assaults and vandalism, and a "small number” of them have engaged in more serious crimes.
The lawsuit contends that the gang designation violates the fans’ free speech and due process rights.
At a news conference in Detroit, Bruce, 41, said Juggalos are like a family, not a gang. He said they have a constitutional right to listen to music without fear of harassment, and he wants Juggalos purged from the report.
"I don’t think this has anything to do with hip hop. I think they just fear what they don’t understand,” Bruce said of law enforcement.
An email seeking comment from the FBI was not immediately returned.
The Juggalos are suing the FBI
Insane Clown Posse is suing the FBI after it called the band’s fans, The Juggalos, gang members.
Among the fans suing is Scott Gandy, of Concord, North Carolina. He said the Army told him that in order to join, he would first have to get his Insane Clown Posse tattoos removed because they were gang symbols.
Gandy said he spent hundreds of dollars removing them, only to be rejected by the Army anyway.
Brandon Bradley, 20, of Sacramento, California, said he has been stopped by police and photographed because of his Juggalos tattoos and attire, including a necklace with a man carrying a hatchet. It is an Insane Clown Posse symbol.

Zoe Saldana Stuns at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards

All dolled up for one of the biggest nights of the year, Zoe Saldana and Mila Kunis were in fine form, making their arrival at the 71 Golden Globes this evening (January 12).
Clad in darling designer duds, the “Star Trek” starlet and “Blood Ties” babe greeted their fellow famous folks outside the Beverly Hilton, posing for a few photos along the way.
Given the sheer tonnage of killer performances from which to choose, the HFPA certainly had their work cut out for them when it came to picking favorites.
Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Judi Dench, Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet will all do battle in the Best Actress (Drama) department, while the Best Actor (Drama) hopefuls include Chiwetel Ejiofor Idris Elba, Tom Hanks, Mathew McConaughey and Robert Redford.
Enjoy the pictures of Zoe Saldana and Mila Kunis at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards (January 12).
