IT'S one of the biggest gigs in the world - and one of the most talked-about.
Remember Beyonce's barnstorming performance at last year's event, which reunited her with her Destiny's Child band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams?

This year it will be Bruno Mars and '90s funk rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers tearing up the stage at the Superbowl on February 2.

 Bruno Mars, who was named Billboard's 2013 artist of the year, announced on Saturday that the Chili Peppers will join him as part of his half-time show.

His hits include the No 1 song When I Was Your Man and his Grammy-nominated sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox has sold almost 2 million copies.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Their most successful period was in the early to mid 1990s, after the release of the album Blood Sugar Sex Magik. They are known for their powerhouse live shows.
