Lady Gaga Defends Katy Perry’s AMA Geisha Performance

They may compete on the pop charts, but Lady Gaga is sticking up for Katy Perry after her controversial performance at the American Music Awards.
Feathers were ruffled in the Asian community as the “Roar” singer chose to belt out her latest single “Unconditionally” dressed as a geisha.
In an interview with Carson Daily, the “Applause” singer defended Katy, joking, “Maybe it’s because unconditionally means you’re supposed to love no matter what and geishas are paid?”
Later, the artist who’s drawn tons of criticism herself added, “I think people are generally too sensitive and they should just leave her be, but you know, I’m not really the person to ask.”
